At the beginning of the year, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared 2020 to be the Year of the Nurse and Midwife. This would be the first time WHO has chosen a specific profession as their yearly tribute. With the current healthcare state of the world facing a global pandemic, these roles have demonstrated their importance time and time again. As 2020 has presented unique challeges around the globe, nurses have risen to the occasion by delivering vital and compassionate clincial care, serving diverse communities, sparking innovation and educating the next generation of nurse leaders.
Nurses In War
In celebration of the Year of the Nurse and the Midwife 2020, join Marie Ann Marino, EdD, RN, FAAN, dean and professor, Jefferson College of Nursing, for an event on Friday, November 13th: the Jefferson College of Nursing Visiting Scholars Lecture.
