Student Achievements in Biochemistry & Molecular Pharmacology
Koree Ahn, a recently defended PhD student in Michael Root’s laboratory in the JCBS Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology program, has had his paper accepted by the Journal of Biological Chemistry (JBC). The paper, entitled “Complex interplay of kinetic factors covers the synergistic properties of HIV-1 entry inhibitors” was selected as an Editor’s Pick and can be downloaded.
Additionally, Clinita Randolph, also a PhD student in the JCBS Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology program in the laboratory of Dr. Phil Wedegaertner, has been awarded the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Individual Predoctoral Fellowship to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research (Parent F31 – Diversity) to help fund her doctoral research.
