Thackrah Lab Opening Jefferson Unveils New Thackrah Capital Markets Research Lab

In December 2025, Thomas Jefferson University hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the Thackrah Capital Markets Research Lab. The new $1.8 million research lab, made possible by a donation from alumnus and philanthropist John Thackrah, is open to all academic programs within the College of Business.

The Master of Science in Organizational Leadership program offers nine graduate certificates — including Brand Management, Human Resources Leadership, Organizational Change Management and Transformational Leadership — for students to choose from as stand-alone, professional development credentials. MBA On-Campus Program Now STEM Eligible

Earn your Masters of Business Administration in our STEM-designated, on-campus program in one of nine different specialized concentration areas modeled for your career, including Accounting, Biopharmaceutical Commercialization, Cannabis Business, Fashion Business, Health Analytics, Marketing, Real Estate Development and more.

STEM eligibility also allows international students on an F-1 student status to apply for an additional two years of work authorization after an initial 12-month period of Post-completion Optional Practical Training.

Design, Engineering & Commerce (DEC) Core Curriculum

This core curriculum focuses on building the durable skills necessary for today's professional world. Spanning multiple colleges, it fosters collaboration among designers, engineers and business majors to give students the breadth of expertise that goes beyond the boundaries of a traditional degree to aggressively address changes in the 21st-century work world, where a sophisticated interdisciplinary understanding makes young professionals more effective in their own field of expertise and enhances their ability to lead and succeed.
