The Nephrology Division, under the direction of Dr. Jerry McCauley, MD, has nine full-time faculty, six fellows in a two year training program and one fellow in a one year Transplant Fellowship program accredited by the American Transplant Society.

Our faculty members are dedicated to education and research in their areas of expertise, which include:

  • Diabetes Research in ESRD and Transplant

Students learn the art and science of Nephrology while caring for 80-100 new transplant patients annually. With access to the state-of-the-art Acute Dialysis Unit for chronic hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, we provide the best learning and training environment for students to grow and evolve into highly-skilled, experienced clinicians.
