Guy is a seasoned urban expert. He is often consultede to examine various urban issues and is involved with various real estate, economic development, and community development concerns. He offers methodological direction to the City of Philadelphia vacant land reform by participating in the newly formed Philadelphia Land Bank system, the parcel reconcilliation project, and various program optimization efforts.
Guy possess over 25 of real estate experience in property acquisition, management, and construction. From 2009 until 2017, Mr. Thigpen worked for both the Philadelphia Land Trust and the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority, where he successfully developed a process to forecast citywide land use for the 2035 comprehensive plan and conducted various data visualization projects, simulations, and analyses for the Philadelphia land holding agencies while directing staff and graduate fellows in the use of spatial-statistics to maintain city-owned property. He has also worked for the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University.
