Curriculum

Jefferson - East Falls or New Jersey Campus

The Program spans 25 months. This curriculum has been carefully sequenced to build upon concepts in order to facilitate learning. The didactic phase is approximately one year in length. The clinical phase is also approximately 1 year in length and includes 9 five-week clinical rotations, the Transition to the Clinical Year and the Master’s Comprehensive Experience courses.

Successful completion of the Physician Assistant Program includes:

  • Completing all required courses and rotations
  • Maintaining a 3.0 grade point average
  • Successfully passing Summary Testing
  • Meeting all standards listed in the Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) Graduate Catalog and Physician Assistant Handbooks

Graduates from this program have historically scored very well on the national certification exam and enjoy a high job placement rate upon completion.

The curriculum is delivered using a variety of educational modalities to include live lectures as well as simulcasted lectured from the opposite campus, small group work, workshops and labs, live Zoom lectures and pre-recorded lectures.
