The Doctor of Pharmacy degree will prepare students to be practice ready and able to select the healthcare practice area of their choosing. The Jefferson program provides multiple touch points to experience different practice settings and to communicate with pharmacists who have developed their practice over the years. In addition, Jefferson students may choose to align their elective course options to obtain additional credentials.

MS in Population Health Pharmacy

Jefferson was the first in the country to offer a MS in Population Health Pharmacy. This program is intended for those with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and who have an interest in improving the health and wellness of their community through optimizing medication therapy and influencing health policy development. Program information and curriculum may be found here.

Graduate Certificate in Population Health Pharmacy

Students with an interest in impacting the health and well-being of their community choose to obtain a Certificate in Population Health Pharmacy. The certificate program requires 15 credits. Students may select elective courses in the PharmD program that will align with this certificate and potentially graduate with the PharmD and Certificate at the same time. The Graduate Certificate credits may also be applied toward the MS degree after completion of the PharmD degree.
