The mission of Jefferson's Department of Radiation Oncology is to improve cancer patient outcomes through outstanding patient-centered care, research, and education.
Jefferson's radiation oncology cancer care takes place through our department in Center City Philadelphia at the Bodine Center for Cancer Treatment and the Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience. We are also located at: Jefferson Torresdale Hospital; Jefferson New Jersey - Washington Township; Abington Hospital - Jefferson Health; and Jefferson Einstein Hospital. The department evaluates more than 2,000 newly diagnosed cancer patients each year and offers unique, cutting-edge clinical research trial opportunities to all patients. The physicians, physicists, and scientists are nationally and internationally renowned for their expertise in cancer care and research, and are considered key opinion leaders in their respective subspecialties.

Academic Programs
The Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Department of Radiation Oncology is proud to have achieved enterprise-wide accreditation by the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Accreditation Program for Excellence in October 2021. This accreditation demonstrates that all Jefferson Radiation Oncology treatment centers are operating at the same high level of performance.
