The Student Writing Center uses Starfish to book all appointments. Please read the information below before scheduling.
Appointment types:
- Appointments are offered either in person on the Center City Campus or virtually.
- If your schedule does not allow for a live conversation, we can offer written feedback through email. Book an appointment for "Emailed Written Feedback Only."
- Pick an appointment length based on your needs. We recommend a 30-minute session for papers between 1-5 pages and an hour for papers between 6-15 pages.
Reminders:
- If you have a document that is longer than 15 pages, please email us to determine how we can best support you with one or more appointments.
- Please only schedule one appointment per week. We can sometimes offer follow-up appointments within the same week, but please email us to check first.
- If you are unable to book an appointment at a time that works with your schedule, please email us to discuss other options.
Instructions to schedule an appointment:
- Click the “Book Now” button below to log in to Starfish.
- If prompted, enter your campus key and password.
- On the Starfish Dashboard, find the “My Services” menu.
- Under “My Services,” find “Student Writing Center – Writing Consultations” and click “SCHEDULE.”
- Select options for appointment type, time, and location. After you select each option, click “CONTINUE.
- Then, click “CONFIRM.” When you see the confirmation page, your appointment has been created.
- Your tutor will email you directly to request your materials and share a Teams link if needed.
