Academic Medicine 2.63/2.34   The official, peer-reviewed journal of the Association of American Medical Colleges. Serves as an international forum for the exchange of ideas, information, and strategies to address the major challenges facing the academic medicine community as it strives to carry out its missions in the public interest. The journal’s areas of focus include: education and training issues; health and science policy; institutional policy, management, and values; research practice; and clinical practice in academic settings.
Advances in Health Sciences Education 1.41   A forum for scholarly and state-of-the art research into all aspects of health sciences education. It will publish empirical studies as well as discussions of theoretical issues and practical implications. The primary focus of the Journal is linking theory to practice, thus priority will be given to papers that have a sound theoretical basis and strong methodology. The Journal will accept articles on topics such as admissions, problem-based and self-directed learning, faculty development, achievement testing, motivation, curriculum development, curricular comparisons, program evaluation, expertise development, clinical reasoning, continuing education, community-based education, and communication skills (the list is intended as illustrative, not exhaustive).
American Academy of Family Physicians 0.94   The editors prefer original articles from experienced clinicians who write succinct, evidence-based, authoritative clinical reviews that will assist family physicians in patient care. Articles that demonstrate a family medicine perspective on and approach to a common clinical condition are particularly desirable. Authors are strongly encouraged to discuss their article ideas with the editor before beginning work on a manuscript.

American Journal of Preventive Medicine 4.1/5   Publishes articles in the areas of prevention research, teaching, practice and policy. Original research is published on interventions aimed at the prevention of chronic and acute disease and the promotion of individual and community health. Of particular emphasis are papers that address the primary and secondary prevention of important clinical, behavioral and public health issues such as injury and violence, infectious disease, women's health, smoking, sedentary behaviors and physical activity, nutrition, diabetes, obesity, and alcohol and drug abuse. Papers also address educational initiatives aimed at improving the ability of health professionals to provide effective clinical prevention and public health services. Annals of Family Medicine 4.6/4.9   Seeks to identify and address important questions in health and the provision of patient-centered, prioritized, high-quality health care. We welcome clinical, biomedical, social and health services research. The Annals publishes original research, methodology, and theory, as well as essays from reflective clinicians, patients, families, communities, and policymakers. We publish selected systematic reviews that build on current knowledge to advance new theory, methods, or research directions. The Annals seeks manuscripts that use and develop rigorous quantitative and/or qualitative methods, and manuscripts with application to practice, theory development, and policy. We encourage practice-based research and research that bridges disciplinary boundaries.
Annals of Internal Medicine 16.7/16.7   We publish original research relevant to adults that addresses prevalence, causes, mechanisms, diagnosis, course, treatment, and prevention of disease. We publish clinical guidelines, position papers, cost-effectiveness analyses and narrative and systematic reviews, including meta-analyses. We also publish papers about research and reporting methods, opinions about controversial medical issues, and essays about medical history, medicine and public policy, and patients’ or physicians’ experiences of illness. Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine 3.5/2.4   Focuses on timely review articles and other content that has a continuing-education orientation rather than on original research or case reports. Clinical Evidence ?   Although Clinical Evidence is commission based, we would like to hear from people who are interested in contributing as authors or peer reviewers. Clinicians and epidemiologists with experience in evidence-based medicine are required. You must have the ability to write in a concise and structured way. We need new authors for existing reviews and future reviews.
Clinical Medicine- Journal of the Royal College of Physicians 1.22   Aimed at practising physicians with medical commitments in the UK and overseas and has relevance to all those managing or working within the healthcare sector.
Clinics 1.40   Clinics is edited monthly and publishes peer-reviewed articles of interest to clinicians and researchers in the medical sciences.
Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews 6.2/6.3   Authors interested in preparing a Cochrane Review should contact the Cochrane Review Group that covers the area of interest for information about the registration process. Prospective authors should first browse the CDSR to identify whether the topic of interest is already covered by an ongoing protocol or review.
Community Mental Health Journal 1.00   Focuses on the improvement of public sector services for people who are affected by or at risk of severe mental disorders, serious emotional disturbances, and/or addictions. Papers of interest to the Journal's readers include nationally representative epidemiologic projects as well as intervention research involving benefit and risk comparisons between service programs. While not a priority for the Journal, manuscripts that address methodology (such as instrumentation) pertinent to public sector behavioral health evaluation or research will also be considered.  Articles that only describe local surveys, case series, or service programs lacking comparison groups will not be accepted.
Current Medical Research and Opinion 2.7/2.6   Aims to bridge the gap between industry breakthrough and point of care by providing physicians and other healthcare professionals with therapeutically innovative and clinically relevant information that has the potential to inform and impact medical practice. We welcome  contributions in several areas.
Diabetes 8.51   Publishes original research about the physiology and pathophysiology of diabetes mellitus. Submitted manuscripts can report any aspect of laboratory, animal, or human research. Emphasis is on investigative reports focusing on areas such as the pathogenesis of diabetes and its complications, normal and pathologic pancreatic islet function and intermediary metabolism, pharmacological mechanisms of drug and hormone action, and biochemical and molecular aspects of normal and abnormal biological processes. Studies in the areas of diabetes education or the application of accepted therapeutic and diagnostic approaches to patients with diabetes mellitus are not published.
Diabetes Care 7.14/7.28   A journal for the health care practitioner that is intended to increase knowledge, stimulate research, and promote better management of people with diabetes. To achieve these goals, the journal publishes original research on human studies in the following five categories: 1) Clinical Care/Education/Nutrition/Psychosocial Research, 2) Epidemiology/Health Services Research, 3) Emerging Treatments and Technologies, 4) Pathophysiology/Complications, and 5) Cardiovascular and Metabolic Risk. European Journal of Clinical Investigation 2.7/2.7   EJCI considers any original contribution from the most sophisticated basic molecular sciences to applied clinical and translational research and evidence-based medicine across a broad range of subspecialties. Evaluation and the Health Professions 1.14   Peer-reviewed, quarterly journal that provides health-related professionals with state-of-the-art methodological, measurement, and statistical tools for conceptualizing the etiology of health promotion and problems, and developing, implementing, and evaluating health programs, teaching and training services, and products that pertain to a myriad of health dimensions.

Family and Community Health .72/1.3   Quarterly which presents creative, multidisciplinary perspectives and approaches for effective public and community health programs. Family Medicine 1.4/1.7   Official Journal of STFM. The journal specializes in publishing research and commentary on medical education. We are not limited to educational research from family medicine educators, and we welcome - and often publish - innovative and high quality contributions from authors in a variety of specialties and academic fields.
Family Practice 1.7/2.2   The journal's range and content covers such areas as health care delivery, epidemiology, public health, medical education, and medical sociology. The journal aims to be interdisciplinary and contributions from other disciplines of medicine and social science are always welcomed.
Health Affairs 3.58   Explores health policy issues of current concern in both domestic and international spheres. Health Affairs authors include top scholars, policymakers, and health care industry leaders. We also welcome submissions from those who do not typically write for peer-reviewed journals.
Health and Quality of Life Outcomes 1.29/3.3   Considers original manuscripts on Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) assessment for the evaluation of medical interventions or psychosocial approaches and studies on psychometric properties of HRQOL and patient reported outcome measures, including cultural validation of instruments if they provide information about the impact of interventions. The journal will also consider study protocols and reviews  summarizing the present state of knowledge concerning a particular aspect of HRQOL and patient reported outcome measures. Reviews should generally follow systematic review methodology.
Health and Social Care in the Community 1.00   Journal for anyone involved in nursing, social work, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, general practice, health psychology, health economy, primary health care and the promotion of health. We are seeking literature reviews (systematic or narrative) of topics of importance to the delivery of health and social care in the Community. Examples would include topic areas relating to, care of older people, working with the third sector, perspectives of health for marginal, innovations in the provision of mental health care, effectiveness of interventions, innovations in the provision of social care.
Health Education and Behavior 1.74   Peer-reviewed bi-monthly journal that provides empirical research, case studies, program evaluations, literature reviews, and discussions of theories of health behavior and health status, as well as strategies to improve social and behavioral health. HEB also examines the processes of planning, implementing, managing, and assessing health education and social-behavioral interventions

Internal Medicine Journal 1.6/1.9   Its purpose is to publish high-quality internationally competitive peer-reviewed original medical research, both laboratory and clinical, relating to the study and research of human disease.
