- As an adult learner, you take charge of your education through online learning, with our guidance and support.
The MS in Midwifery program begins with an on-campus orientation to build a community of engaged learners and faculty. The curriculum integrates online study and simulation with hands-on clinical practice on campus and in your community.
You will learn the science of midwifery through readings, seminar discussions, problem-based learning tutorials, writing assignments, simulated clinicals, project-based service learning, case studies, peer reviews and exams. These online mastery sessions of problem-based learning include virtual case simulations, case presentations and student conferences.
Guided by faculty, students attend two on-campus sessions to practice working together, while engaging in clinical reasoning and reflection. These sessions enhance your midwifery education as you work towards completing your degree.
When you graduate with your master’s degree in midwifery, you’ll be eligible to sit for the national examination of the American Midwifery Certification Board to earn the credential Certified Nurse Midwife or Certified Midwife (CM).
For international students, our I-20 Forms for F-1 student status and DS-2019 for J-1 student status are only available for full-time and on-campus programs. Individuals of other immigration statuses must ensure that their current status permits study in their intended program by its start date and for its entirety. Additional information can be found through our Office of International Services Visa Categories.
