Physician Assistant Studies Programs

Physician Assistant (PA) is a nationally-certified, state licensed healthcare provider who practices under the supervision of a physician. PAs conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose and treat illnesses, provide patient counseling, assist in the operating room and prescribe medications.

Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies

Jefferson offers two ARC-PA accredited programs. One program is located in Center City, Philadelphia and the other program is located in two different locations: East Falls section of suburban Philadelphia and Voorhees, New Jersey. 

In our programs, Physician Assistants conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose and treat illnesses, provide patient counseling, assist in the operating room and prescribe medications.

Your Degree Options

Jefferson offers several program options, depending on entry point and campus of interest.

  • Students can apply to enter as a freshman or as a graduate student.
  • There are three campuses, two of which are graduate entry only.

Physician Assistant Studies Dual-Degrees

Dual Degree 4+2 Health Sciences BS / Physician Assistant Studies MS- Available at the East Falls/Voorhees program

This 6-year Dual-Degree program assures admission to both the BS and MS program at the time of initial application. Students must meet the established progression criteria to maintain their assured seat in the program.
