Resident Affinity Groups

The Sidney Kimmel Medical College has the following resident affinity groups:

• The Carl Mansfield Society (CMS) - named after the first African American chair (of Radiation Oncology) at SKMC - is open to all residents and fellows, including those who are underrepresented in medicine.  The main focus is mentorship – the group connects to two faculty groups, the Jefferson Alliance of African American Physicians and the Hispanic/Latinx Health Professionals, and to the Student National Medical Association and the Latino Medical Students Association.
• The Jefferson Queer House Staff Association (JQHSA) is open to all residents and fellows.  Similar to the CMS, the main focus is mentorship – the group connects to the Pride at Jefferson enterprise group and the Jeff LGBTQ student group.
