Data Analyst
1889 Jefferson Center for Population Health
The 1889 Jefferson Center for Population Health (CPH) in Johnstown, Pennsylvania is hiring a Data Analyst.
Primary Function
Supports the CPH data analytic and reporting functions in alignment with the CPH’s strategic agenda and data-related requirements of various partners and stakeholders.
Essential Function
- Manage, analyze and interpret data for the Community Care HUB, providing monthly reports for funders and contracted agencies to evaluate progress of program goals and objectives;
- Ensure the integrity of all data analytic and reporting functions for the CPH by validating, maintaining, and managing the data for HUB projects containing both PHI and non-PHI data; and identifying data quality issues and designing, aggregating, and cleaning data bases.
- Create and automate data visualizations and reports to share progress on goals;
- Perform community data analysis to provide insights into trends, patterns, and correlations in social determinant of health data.
- Create and manage a standard dashboard for evaluation metrics for various programmatic and population health improvement initiatives of the CPH.
- Assist with a variety of project plans related to key initiatives of the Center and HUB, including planning, execution, measurement and optimization.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

Educational /Training Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Public Health, Business, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Developing interactive reports and dashboards
- Reconciling data from multiple vendors
- Visualization products such as Tableau
- Preparing and presenting analytic findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
