The mission of the Primary Care Program is to train superb clinicians who are dedicated to advancing the field of general internal medicine through patient care, education, advocacy, and research. 

A combination of primary and tertiary care is an integral part of our 3-year Internal Medicine Residency program, producing residents equally prepared for subspecialty training, general medical practice and academic medicine.

The practice of Internal Medicine has evolved remarkably over the past few decades. Leaders in academic medicine have called for the redesign of resident education, including the development of individualized career pathways as a way to reinvigorate interest in Internal Medicine. We offer Personalized Career Pathways to allow residents to customize their training experience throughout their residency.
