Welcome to the website for the Department of Pathology & Genomic Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. We are dedicated to a mission that includes excellence in clinical diagnostics, research, and education at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels. As evident from its name, the department is composed of a diverse faculty with a spectrum of interests that includes diagnostic pathology and laboratory medicine, translational research, basic research, and computational/systems biology, and which employ the most current technologies. The environment created by our faculty offers outstanding opportunities through a large clinical practice and multiple funded research programs in matrix biology, retrovirology, pathophysiology of alcohol, neurosciences, visual sciences, stem cell biology, and G protein coupled receptors. We are located in vibrant Center City Philadelphia.
