In the event a resident loses their key, appropriate measures will be taken to supply a replacement key and minimize any potential campus security risks.
To request a core change and a replacement key, please email your Resident Director from your Jefferson email. Additionally, residents who do not return a temporary key they receive when they are locked out will incur a core change fee after 48 hours of holding a temporary key. Also, residents who do not return their assigned key upon checkout, and residents who return a different key from the one originally issued, will incur a core change fee.
Core change fees are applied to each student’s account at the end of the month or upon checkout, whichever comes first. The fee amount varies depending on the residence hall:
- Scholler, Mott, Ronson, Fortess, and Partridge: $95
- Townhouses and Independence Plaza: $250
