Program Director, Public Health

Responsible for oversight of MPH clerkships/applied practice experience (C-APE), Academic Repository, CEPH compliance and reporting, student communications, and working directly with student government group (Jeff SAPHE) and support faculty lead. Liaison between the MPH program and organizations that host students during their C-APE. Additionally, will provide support to MPH teaching faculty related to Canvas and other logistics in collaboration with the office of online learning. Organize and support student (and prospective student) centered events, including, but not limited to: Town Hall Meetings, Journal Clubs, the Capstone/Integrative Learning Experience (C-ILE) Symposium, C-APE Debrief Sessions, and Guest Lecture Series and Informational Sessions.  Support Program Director in the admissions process, including application review and interviewing as needed. Support Program Director in efforts related to student advising, curricular issues, meeting management, Graduate Assistantships and all MPH program related activities.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for logistical programmatic questions MPH students 
  • Provide course selection guidance and support academic advisors
  • Audit student progress through the program, communicate with students and advisors as needed
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for MPH student as they begin the C-APE experience and liaison between the program and C-APE host organization. Serve as TA for C-APE Course.
  • Oversight of the accreditation process (CEPH), support related quality improvement projects, manage data collection and generate appropriate reports.
  • Manage, create, and monitor Redcap and Qualtrics surveys related to CEPH reports and ongoing QI efforts.
  • Maintain Redcap, and other data bases for monitoring the student experience, including both academic and career advising notes for students, and provide advising as needed.  
  • Map, revise, and create plans of study (POS) for existing and new program pathways and dual degree options.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cooperation issues related to external and internal dual degree partners  
  • Maintain connections with alumni, and facilitate formal and informal mentorship relationships. 
  • Support Capstone Course Directors in record keeping and event coordination.
  • Serve as a representative on various college and university committees as assigned and appropriate.
  • Organize major programmatic events. 
  • Support HEOR Fellowship Program.
